The Director of Administration and Human Resource Management in the Ministry of Health, Delta State, Mr. C Nwodi has debunked the allegation of embezzlement of funds, high handedness and other malicious publications against the functioning State Director of Nursing Services, DNS, Mrs. Gloria Igumbor.
Mr Nwodi said it has become necessary to debunk the allegations by some bloggers and online News mediums posted in google, saying that the serial false publications were done after a peaceful demonstration carried out by aggrieved Students because of a week shift in the date of their final examination in November 2022.
The Director said following the directive of the then Honourable Commissioner for health, Dr. Mordi Ononye, he administratively investigated the issues raised, adding that Mrs. Gloria Igumbor diligently indexed the Students with the Nursing and Midwifery of Nigeria, and put all facilities in place for the said examination.
He pointed out that the shift in the date was not caused by Mrs Igumbor since the Council was solely in charge of such external examination.
Mr Nwodi reiterated that all allegations raised by all the “faceless on-line writers” were a plot to malign the person of Mrs. Igumbor, who he described as a Heath Care Professional, adjudged as one of Delta State finest in the health sector.
He said it is on record that the State had the best results in the said examination which the same mischievous fellows failed to publish, pointing out that Mrs Igumbor is still in the same capacity winning award for the State as the DNS.
“Consequently, I chest out to vouch for the character of the functioning DNS and to say without fear of contradiction that all of such publications are not true, be disregarded and be dismissed as pieces of sublime mysticism and nonsense” Mr Nwodi said.
