As Delta state clocks years of its existence tomorrow, the State Government has invited the people and well-wishers of the state to an inter-denominational thanksgiving service tomorrow, as part of activities marking its creation.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Delta State, Dr Kingsley Emu says the Thanksgiving service will hold the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, of the Anglican Communion, Bishop’s Court, Asaba, from 10am.
The statement recalled that Delta state was created alongside others, by the General Ibrahim Babangida administration on August 27, 1991.
It expressed satisfaction that, 32 years after, Deltans were looking back with gratitude to God, for granting their wish of having a state of their own.
