Governor of Delta state, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori says his administration would forward to the State Assembly a supplementary budget of 167 billion naira to address areas of need.
Governor Oborevwori stated this during inspection of projects at the Dennis Osadebay University, Anwai-Asaba and other parts of the state capital.
He said the State Executive Council approved a supplementary budget to be able to carter for some of the areas not properly funded.
The Governor said his administration has lined up series of projects for inauguration to mark his first 100 days in office.
Projects inspected included the Administrative building, Faculty of Agriculture building, lecture theatres, Faculty of Environment, and Vice Chancellor’s lodge.
Others include; the State High Court Complex, 16 kilometres internal roads and drainages around Madonna Road area and the Okpanam-Ibusa Road both in Oshimili South and Oshimili North Local Government Areas.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done at the various projects, adding that he would not inaugurate any project not executed to specification.
On the High Court Complex, the Governor said some of the corrections he pointed out earlier have been effected, adding that the project would be ready for inauguration in two weeks time.
He said some of the ongoing projects and the new ones initiated will be inaugurated very soon to mark his 100 days in office.
At the 16 kilometres adjoining roads around Madonna school road, Governor Oborevwori said he was impressed with the quality of work done, assuring that the project was ready for inauguration.
He said the Ughelli-Asaba dualisation project was another ongoing job that he was looking forward to completing and expressed the hope that the flood does not affect the pace of work.
The governor also inspected the Okpanam/Ibusa link road and drainage from the Okpanam junction axis of the Benin Asaba Expressway.
