The President Women in Agriculture Network in Niger Delta, Mrs fidelia Eze Owem has called on female farmers to come out emasse to embrace current trends in Agricultural practices.
Mrs Owem made the call when she visited Otulu in Aniocha South Local Government area.
She said the visit was to intimate the Otulu female farmers on the need to register with Women in Agriculture in order to benefit from international support.
According to her, the programme is to support women farmers with fund that would be sourced from partners including International Fund For Agriculture (IFAD) and the Federal Government.
She said the women in Agricultural net work was inaugurated by LIFE ND to reach out to female farmers at the grassroot , to curb gender disparities, and introduce modern trends in farming technology
The community leader and Okbani Otulu-Ogwashi Community, Chief Anthony Enurah in his response, thanked the group for the visit and expressed happiness that the visit would provide opportunity for females especially farmers.
