Entrepreneurship key to the survival of Youths – Oborevwori

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has commended the National Youth Service Corps in the state for its entrepreneurship drive.

Governor Oborevwori gave the commendation when he received the State Coordinator of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, Mr Alao Olusegun and his delegation at the Government House, Asaba, the state capital.

He said entrepreneurship and skill acquisition remained key to wealth creation, and to the survival of the youths, especially in a nation facing unemployment and economic challenges.

The Governor thanked the NYSC for its contributions to the development of the state, and gave an assurance that Government will look into the requests made by the State Coordinator.

He reiterated the commitment of the state government to sustaining the existing peace in the state, in line with the MORE agenda of his administration.

Mr Olusegun in his earlier remarks, commended Governor Oborevwori for the projects at the NYSC Permanent Camp at Issele-Uku, even as he congratulated Governor Oborevwori on his victory at the polls and at the Supreme Court.

He said the NYSC had over 15,000 corp members serving in the state and contributing their quota in the various sector of the state economy.

He said the NYSC would continue to deploy corp members to all parts of the state for equal development of the state.
