FIDA Introduce Newly Trained Ibusa Para-legals to Council Chairman

….Honours Him With Award

The Executive Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Council, Delta State, Hon Innocent Esewezie on Thursday received members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, (FIDA), who paid him a courtesy visit at the Oshimili North Liaison Office Ibusa.

The Paralegals were led by the Delta State FIDA President, Hon. Barr. Stella Mejulu and Mr. Vincent Olimmah heading the Ibusa Paralegals.

Introducing the newly trained Ibusa paralegals, Hon. Stella Mejulu briefed the Council Chairman on the importance of Paralegals and how they contribute significantly to the legal profession.

She informed the Chairman of the plans of the Association to train more Paralegals in other to help raise the consciousness of the people.

Hon. Mejulu, later on behalf of the FIDA Delta State branch, presented an award of excellence to Hon Esewezie in recognition of his service delivery in the LGA.

Receiving the award, Hon. Esewezie thanked the group for the honour, adding that he had turned down many awards in recent weeks, given the frequency.

The Council Boss lauded Barr. Mejulu, singling out her capacity which she has displayed over the years.

He encouraged the Paralegals to commence the training of other persons to increase the general consciousness of the people.

The meeting had in attendance, the Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mrs Ofunne Stella Jones amongst others.
