IMPROVED CRIME PREVENTION: IGP Plays Host to DG National Crime Agency

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D, NPM, on Wednesday, played host to the Director General, National Crime Agency, Mr Graeme Biggar, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

This is contained in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, dated 8th May, 2024, and made available on the Force Facebook handle.

The meeting was attended by the members of the Force Management Team, National Vice President of Interpol, Garba Baba Umar, and the Head of NPF-NCCC, CP Henry Uche.

The IGP, during the visit, reflected on the already existing relationship between the Police and the UK National Crime Agency, in areas of training and support towards combating crimes and criminality, and enhancing the effectiveness of the Police in the fight against kidnapping, and cyber-crime related offences across the country.

The DG on behalf of the UK Government pledged continuous support to the Police Force, particularly in the areas of enhanced trainings and courses for officers to boost their efficiency.

The IGP reiterated the commitment of his administration to engage in fruitful collaborations with relevant Agencies, towards enhanced training and re-training for Officers and Men of the Force to effectively address the challenges of Policing Nigeria.
