Newly Sworn in Commissioners in Delta State assume duty; promise to work to actualize the more agenda of the Oborevwori administration


Some newly sworn in Commissioners in Delta State have assumed duty in their various Ministries.


The new commissioners captured by NIM were the Commissioners for Technical Education, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi, Higher Education, Professor Tonukari Johnbull, Oil and gas, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Perez Omoun, Power and Energy, Mr. Jerry Ehiwario, Environment, Mr. Jamani Ejiro and Health, Dr. Joseph Ogheneogaga.

Upon arrival at the Chike Edozien Secretariat, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi, was received by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs Patrick Ferife and staff of the ministry, after which prayers were made for a successful tenure in office, led by Reverend Father Anthony Akalue of the Seminary of All Saints, Ekpoma, Edo State.

Hon. Onyemaechi thanked the state Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the confidence reposed in her to serve as Commissioner in the Education sector and promised to do her best in the actualization of the more agenda.

Similar gesture was experienced at the other ministries, as the new Commissioners expressed their readiness to work, and urged staff to remain supportive of the Oborevwori administration.

Staff expressed satisfaction with the choice of Commissioners assigned to their ministries and promised to work together to achieve set goals.
