Nigerian Workers Strike: Delta NLC Mobilises For Full Participation

Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku has called on workers in the state to turn out enmasse to protest against bad policies of government.
Comrade Ofobruku made the call in a telephone interview with NIM.
He said workers across the country, including Delta State were feeling the negative impact of incessant fuel hike, and “spend almost all their salaries on transport”, pointing out that the increase in price of Premium Motor Spirit PMS, has also come with its attendant inflation as cost of food and services have continued to soar.
The NLC Chairman noted that workers in Delta State would be part of the protest and would be participating “in full”.

Comrade MyOfobruku reiterated that workers had thee right to a peaceful protest and called on workers in the state to join the protest at the State Labour House on Wednesday August 2.
He expressed the hope that joining hands to protest against “evil policies of Government” would make the Federal Government retrace their steps.
