Obi of Owa marks 64 years on the throne in Grand style

The immediate past Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers Council and the Obi of Owa kingdom, Obi Emmanuel Efeizomor the 11, has celebrated his 64 years Coronation anniversary in Owa Oyibo, Ika North East Local Government Area, amidst pump and pageantry.

Obi Efeizomor expressed satisfaction with the turn out of people from within and outside the kingdom who came in their numbers to felicitate with him on his 64th Coronation anniversary.

He said his assention to the Owa throne 64 years ago had brought development to the kingdom and the State in general, attributing the feat recorded so far, to his determination to study and acquire knowledge in all areas of life.

The Monarch lauded all who contributed to the success and progress of the Kingdom and urged youths to embrace peace, cultivate the habit of reading to improve their reasoning while pledging his continued support to the growth and development of Owa kingdom, the State and the Country in general.

The 64 years Coronation exercise saw the conferment of Chieftency title on two illustrious Sons of the Kingdom for their impacts and contributions to the growth and development of Owa kingdom.

The Owa Monarch enjoined the newly installed chiefs, the Obasoji, Chief IK Agborbu and the Odoziani of Owa kingdom Chief Colinse Ojei not to abuse the new office but to sustain the legacies that attracted the honor on them.

The Second vice chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and the Obi of Ubulu Unor Kingdom Obi Henry Kikachukwu, the Ine of Owa kingdom Chief Okwuokennye Nkemchor, and the Assistant Supretendent of Police ASP Mr George Efeizomor, in an interview, described the celebrant as a living legend, a mentor, an educationist, and one who loves justice and prayed for long life, good health and more wisdom for him.

The ceremony featured cutting of the anniversary cake by the celebrant.
