The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Delta State, Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku has congratulated the state Governor, Hon. Sherriff Oborevwori on his victory at the governorship election tribunal.
This is contained in a congratulatory message made available to NIM.
Comrade Ofobruku said the victory was a call to focus on delivering on the campaign promises made to Deltans, as there would no longer be distractions caused by litigations, in the governance of the state
He urged opposition parties to join hands with the Governor to build a virile Delta State and to play their role in checks and balances.
Comrade Ofobruku called on the Governor to use his good office to better the lives of workers in the state, especially with the economic hardship being suffered by many, noting that workers believe in his ability to do MORE for them.
The state NLC chairman also called on workers to remain calm and peaceful, to enable the government carry out his promises to the people.
