The Nigeria Army has said there is need to always share intelligence among heads of security agencies with a view to dislodging bandits and various forms of criminal activities.
The General Officer Commanding, 6 Division Major-General Jamal Abdussalam stated this in a statement following a visit of the Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr Basil Igwebueze to the Army Division headquarter in Port Harcourt.
General Abdussalam described the relationship between the Nigeria Army and the NSCDC as historic, adding that the corps had grown to be a reliable ally.
The GOC expressed satisfaction with the level of professionalism exhibited by the corps, and urged the commandant not to relent.
He pledged the commitment of the Division towards assisting the corps at all times.
Earlier, the NCSDC Commandant, Mr. Igwebueze called for synergy between the State Command of the NSCDC and the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army.
