This ministry will work with Certified NGOs who meet stipulated criteria – Uduaghan

Delta state commissioner for Girl Child Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Support Services, Orode Uduaghan has pledged to partner with Civil Society Organizations and Community Based Organizations in building a virile
Uduaghan made the pledge when she received a delegation of the working Fingers International Initiative WOFII and their partners, who paid her a courtesy visit in her office in Asaba.
The Commissioner thanked the group for the visit, acknowledging the sacrifices, passion and resilience involved in championing a non governmental organization, given her experience with volunteer services over the years.
She intimated the group of the various programs lined up by the ministry, saying that the ministry will work with NGOs which are duly certified and meet stipulated criteria.
The leader of the delegation and Executive Director, Working Fingers International Initiative WOFII, Ambassador Eris Jewo-Ibi said the visit was to congratulate the commissioner on her appointment, intimate her of their activities and to seek ways of partnership with the ministry.
Ambassador Jewo-Ibi commended the state Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for putting the right persons to man the various ministries in the state, describing the Commissioner’s appointment as a round peg in a round hole.
She appealed to the Commissioner to carry the active Non Governmental Organizations along in the scheme of things, and pledged their readiness to support her, in achieving set goals.
