
Veteran Broadcaster and former Media Aide to Edo State Deputy Governor, Mr. Benjamin Atu, has been appointed as Chief Press Secretary (CPS ) to the newly elected Chairman, Etsako East Local Government, Princess Benedicta Attoh.
The appointment, according to the Chairman, is with immediate effect.
Benjamin Atu has a rich and robust media/press management resume which includes; Chief Press Secretary to Dr. Ngozi Olejeme, former Chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF); Senior Special Assistant to the Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, as well as the immediate past Personal Assistant to Senator Francis Alimikhena, who represented Edo North Senatorial zone in the Nigerian Senate.
Mr. Atu started his media career at the Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Asaba in 2004, where he worked as a cameraman, Reporter, film Editor, TV and Radio Presenter, and producer of various popular Television and Radio Programs.
He is a graduate of the Delta State University Abraka, and the National Open University Abuja and has a Master’s degree (M. Sc) from the University of Benin (Uniben) Benin City.
Mr. Atu until his new appointment, was working as a legislative Aide at the House of Representatives, Abuja.
