The Chairman Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, Princess Benedicta Attoh has promised to provide the necessary support and cooperation needed for all security agencies in the Council area to perform their duties.
Princess Attoh stated this at the weekend during the presentation of motorcycles to local community security vigilante groups to enhance their capacity in ensuring a crime-free, peaceful, and Prosperous Council.

She said insecurity remained a major factor impeding good governance, adding that insecurity discourages investors, disrupts communal life, causes forced migration and encourages hostility.
The Council Boss said NGOs and traditional institutions would be encouraged to play greater roles in crime reduction in the various communities for the benefit of the people.
She expressed gratitude to Governor Godwin Obaseki for prioritizing security of the people in his administration.
Princess Attoh called on community members to be watchful and support government security tasks through the provision of critical intelligence and suspicious activities, noting that security is a collective business.
