Delta Government Approves Commencement of 2024 More Grant Scheme

The Delta State Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl-Child Development, Ms. Orode Uduaghan, has approved the commencement of applications from Artisans (Those with skills in tiling, vulcanizing, plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical works, or other manual labour skills), for the 2024 Delta State Government MORE Grant Scheme, which is specifically tailored to Artisans aged 21 to 50 years.

This is contained in a statement signed by the State Director of Public Communication, Mrs Theresa Adiabua Oliko.

The statement said Application forms will be available for collection at the Secretariat of each of the 25 Local Government Councils in the state on Monday, 22nd and Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024, from 11am to 2pm.

According to the statement, Forms are to be collected FREE of charge with a valid means of identification such as the National Identity card, Permanent Voter’s card, National Driver’s license, or international passport, and applicants must be indigenes of Delta State, as well as indigenes of the local government area where the form is collected. They must also be residents of their local government area of origin.

It stated that Artisans who have benefitted previously from any Delta State Government grant or intervention programme are NOT qualified to apply.

“Submission of filled application forms will be on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, latest 3pm, at the Local Government Secretariat where the form was collected” the statement added.
