….As Out gone Vice Chairman, Amaka Adigwe Appreciates Her People for Opportunity to Serve.

The immediate past vice chairman of Aniocha South Local Government, Miss Amaka Adigwe has expressed gratitude to members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP ward 9, Ewulu /Isheagu, for their support to her and the Honourable Jude Chukwunwke administration in the last three years.
Miss Adigwe stated this when she paid a Thank You Visit to PDP ward 9 Aniocha South, during a meeting of leaders and Executive held at the Ward Secretariat in Isheagu.
The Out gone vice chairman said leaders in ward 9 were prompt to give her advice and constructive criticisms, which contributed in her success, even as she acknowledged the guidance of the commissioner for Technical Education, Hon Joan Onyemaechi and the cordial relationship she enjoyed with the immediate past council chairman, Honourable Jude Chukwunwike.
Miss Adigwe intimated the people of the activities carried out by the Chukwunwike administration across the local Government, especially in the area of youth empowerment procurement of bulldozer machines to fast track the grading of access roads across the 3 clans of the local government, rehabilitation of health centre at Egbudu-aka, reconstruction of Afro commodity market at Nsukwa and construction of a modern Abattoir at the Afor market Ogwashi-Uku to ensure butchers sold meat safe for human consumption.
Others, she said included, reconstruction of the Aniocha South Council secretariat complex to boost the morale of council staff, construction of a worship centre in the council, environmental sanitation and beautification of the Ogwashi-Uku, the council’s headquarters, evacuation of makeshift structures that constituted nuisance, provision of a park inside the Ogwashi-Uku market to address traffic gridlocks on the major roads, and construction of an ultra-modern motor park at the Eke market, Ubulu-Uku.
The immediate past Vice Chairman said through the people’s support the administration procured and distributed dozens of grass mowers to primary schools in Aniocha South to put an end to manual labour of grass clearing, revived the Ubulu-Uku Weaving Centre which was in comatose, reconstructed classroom blocks at Abuedo primary school, provided portable water projects with solar energy powered pumps.
She said peace and security was promoted in every community within Aniocha South through synergy with president Generals of community development Associations and affiliate groups, donated Toyota sierra buses to vigilante groups in the three clans of Aniocha South and distributed over 20 motorcycles to community vigilante
The Vice Chairman of the PDP Aniocha South, Mr. Felix Nwokolo, the chairman of the PDP ward 9, Pastor Maxwell Unosha, the SSA to the Governor on women mobilization Bridget Modebe, Ezinne Christiana Odimegwu, Chief Joe Adigwe and others who spoke commended the out gone Vice Chairman for returning to appreciate the opportunity given to her, saying that the Honourable Jude Chukwunwike administration did well.
The event was attended by the Vice Chairman Oshimili North, Uju Okolo.
