NITDA Builds Capacity of MSMEs in Katsina State

A 3-day Digital Capacity Building organized by the National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA, in collaboration with Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, has been concluded in Katsina State.

The event, under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, was tagged NITDA Digital Empowerment for MSMEs in Katsina State.

The training aimed at boosting MSMEs’ digital skills for business improvement, is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s redefined priority area to “Accelerate diversification through industrialisation, digitisation, creative arts, manufacturing & innovation”.

The Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi represented by Engr. Salisu Kaka, urged beneficiaries to apply the knowledge gained and invest into their businesses.

The Board Vice Chairman of Katsina State Chamber of Commerce of Commerce, Industry, Mines and agriculture (KATCCIMA) Alhaji Salisu Kadandami advised the beneficiaries to maintain simple accounting records for their businesses.

He enlightened them on four principles could ensure their sustainability in business – integrity, perseverance, hard work and ethics.

The event featured presentation of certificates and cash prizes to the beneficiaries.

The training is aimed at implementing a workshop on digital technology adoption for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs in Nigeria, and ensuring that MSMEs adopt modern and relevant digital technologies to help increase efficiency and effectiveness in achieving their business goals.
